Retired and Former WAPSO Members

In its recent decision, the Arbitration Board ruled that anyone employed by the City who was a member of WAPSO from October 31, 2015 to the present, may apply for a retroactive pay adjustment for all periods during which they were employed by the City. Applications by former,  retired members or persons acting on behalf of the estate of a deceased member, must be submitted in writing before the end of December 2017 to the City of Winnipeg, Labour Relations email address; labourrelations@winnipeg.ca. The following information is required to ensure that payments can be processed:
• Name of Employee;
• Department worked in prior to leaving the City;
• Effective end Date of Employment
• Current address (T4 purposes)
• Confirmation of banking information. Confirmation that the individual’s banking information has not changed since retirement is required. If the banking information has changed, the new information must be provided.
