On April 6, WAPSO shows support for the IBEW 2034 members who keep the power going for Manitoba Hydro as they seek a fair deal, free from Pallister government interference.

Members of IBEW 2034 employed by Manitoba Hydro work daily to keep your power going. For the past year they have been on the front-lines risking their health while serving the public during the COVID-19 pandemic. In October 2019, it was IBEW 2034 members who spent over 35 days restoring power and ensuring our safety during the province’s harshest ice storm in history.

Now, the Pallister Government is interfering with the collective bargaining process between Manitoba Hydro and IBEW 2034, refusing all reasonable attempts at resolving negotiations, including referral to arbitration.
